That's a difficult question. It depends on where in the world you live (in terms of temperature), the size and age of your house, how well it is insulated, and your domestic appliances. The biggest consumption of electricity is heating; followed by cooking (if electric), clothes washing, food storage (fridge and freezer), entertainment systems, then lighting. If you have gas heating, forget the heating aspect. There is no possible way of estimating your electricity usage other than taking regular meter readings - say weekly - and comparing them month on month throughout the year.

If your bills then seem unusually high, contact your utility company and have them check the meter.

It might help us to know the reason your asking the question. I feel like you are leaving some details out that could affect the answers you get. However, with that said...

I have lived alone for the past 2 years in a 1-bedroom apartment. My electricity bills are about $15-30/month except during the summer when I have the A/C running. In the summer, my bills are around $45-60/month.

The amount YOU pay depends on how many people you live with, how many electric appliances you use, your usage habits, if you have electric heat, if your house/apartment has proper insulation, the electric rates your utility company charges, and a whole variety of other factors.

I live alone and my electric bill is $27.00/month. I don't 1 more person in my condo would double the bill. There are really to many factors for any answer to be correct. The 'average' person does not exist.

Well, if they don't put any money in savings or invest it somewhere, they spend everything they have, minus the taxes the government gets.
