my female has only dropped 2 of her fry since last night but I can still see them inside her gravid spot- I can still see their eyes. She is a yellow/orange guppy so her spot is dark orange and I can see the black dots of the babies eyes still in there. I believe she is going to reabsorb them due to stress from the water change and my moving her last night trying to give her a safe place to give birth. But is there any way I can get her to deliver more of the fry before they are reabsorbed?

One probability is they do provide start yet then eat the fry (fish in many situations do this). I ensure that there are various hiding places in my tanks. i take advantage of a plant talked approximately as guppy grass (Najas guadalupensis). it particularly is great for this and will boost under very almost any circumstances. i began out with below 2 inches of that plant and nevertheless have it in great quantities in 4 tanks. as quickly as the tummy seems all squarish (exceedingly while seen from the front) you are able to gently pass the female to a various tank, yet even then she might determine to eat her own fry. The pass won't tension her if completed gently (i've got completed it hundreds of situations), however the dense positive-leaved guppy grass is a plenty greater advantageous answer because of the fact her intuition will tell her to choose for the flowers or yet another sturdy hiding place while giving start,

I don't believe there is any safe way to induce your guppy. The best advice I can give is to just let nature take it's course and leave her be. Any stress could cause her to miscarry the rest of her babies.

Good luck!

Keep the temp arounf 80-82F, well fed and provide her with plenty of hiding places for the babies like floating plants. Keeping her comfortable and feeling safe (for her babies) should encourage her to drop her fry.

You move her at a bad time. You need to make sure she has plenty of plants like Java moss/fern to drop in.

no, just keep that tank constant temp (no extreme changes from were it was).... feed her small amounts often and just wait. She will have them eventually, and about every 2 weeks there after - even if there is no male in the tank!
