1 m = 100cm, so 5.7 x 100 = 570 cm
1000ml = 1 l, so 543/1000 = .543 l
1 g = 1000 mg, so 23.7 x 1000 = 23,700 mg
1000g = 1 g, so 529/1000 = .529 g
Notice that the order I listed the conversions: if it increases (e.g. 1m=100 cm) you multiply YOUR number; if it decreases (e.g. 1000ml=1 l) you divide YOUR number.

To go from millisomething to something, divide by 1000.
To go from something to millisomething, multiply by 1000.
That should take care of most of them.
(Centi is just 100 instead of 1000.)
Example: 529mg = 0.529g.
