Start?? Are you starting a business? Then it will vary depending on snow on ground. If you have a dry year and the ground is dry you can power rake and aerate clients' lawns before you actually start mowing. That will be Feb but more likely March. By mid April you'll be mowing, fertilizing and putting down preemergent weed killer.

You could start your business now by offering snow removal service.................

It starts whatever date you put on the contract.Ours in Michigan is from April 15 th thru October 31st.Snow season is from Nov.15th thru April 1st.There are exceptions to all seasons and you just have to charge for late grass cutting or late season snow removal.
