#1 man with a lot of money. He has a beautiful wife, whom he thinks loves him. Kids, the apple of his eye. Nice car, nice house nad everything he could ever ask for. Although, his wife does nag him alot and never seems content with all she has and the kids are a tad ungrateful.

Then there is man #2. He is poor, but has a wife who has stuck with him through the bad. Has kids, who have to wear hand-me-downs and aren't happy ever. They don''t show it, because they know that there isn't anything they can do about it. But they are pretty close and love eachother.

Which family has it all?

I think the question is slanted a little in tempting everyone to suggest man #2...
Maybe you should have added......
#2 knows his family's health may be at risk due to lack of finances to buy the best medicine and medical care. His children are much less likely to achieve a higher education and therefore may never fulfill their full potential.
While the #1 you may add that they have a better chance at a longer life due to the best health care and are less likely to work in dangerous or menial, strenuous jobs and due to the much higher potential they are guaranteed a much, much higher education where they have the possibility of learning their mistakes....changing their ways and becoming a family as happy with each other as the family #1
One could say that #1 family lacks any hope of change or betterment while #2 family has the opportunity to implement change if they so desire.
But truly....neither family " has it all".

I don't think either one is necessarily better than the other. Every family has its ups and downs, its good qualities and bad. Some people turn out the way they are because of their upbringing, others in spite of it. There are no hard and fast rules.

That said, I think my family more closely represents #2, and I have no real complaints.

I would say family # 2. If you don't have love and happiness in a family then you really don't have a happy life. Sure you have money but money isn't everything if you don't have nice, grateful, loving people to share it with.

Me...the guy with the wife who stuck by him and his dreams when he had nothing. She never nagged me and gave me her unconditional love through thick and thin. She never changed once the dreams became reality and the money started to roll in. I thank God every day that I have the best.

Two is much better off though I wouldn't say he has it all without the material package. Though if he were rich his kids might be ungrateful so who know?

they are both happy I would hope. You are who you are until you make your own life for yourself. both families children will have good and bad from the upbringing they recieved and will hopefully learn how things will be done in there lifetime. cloths and material things don't make happiness they are only temporary. if there is love there is happiness.

I suppose it would depend on the individual and that individuals priorities.
Of course my personal opinion i'll go with number two but I think the answer is relative to each persons will.

none of these families have it good.
The parents have to teach the children the value of a true life where a person can be rich or poor, but should never be upset and angry at himself or his parents.

# 2, we must stop thinking that money can make someone happy. If you were in poverty money CAN make you temporarily
happy, but soon wears off. Love is always better that money
