I was reading a confession on the www.publicdecision.com sit and I found this one in which the confessor describes how a particular situation lit a spark between him and his best friends wife and how guilty he feels about it...

Well, he did not do anything wrong, is his desiring (just desiring) his friends wife sinful enough to haunt him?

The whole confession can be read at http://www.publicdecision.com/issue/I_know_its_sinful_but_I_cannot_stop_thinking_about_my_friends_wife

Um yeah - its that pesky little thing called the 10 comandments......

The one that says ,"Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife."

Covet means "desiring" or "lusting for" or "wanting". It does NOT just mean "cheating with".

Married men need to be faithful and loving to their
wife. Just because a woman wants to come on to
a man does not give the married man the right
to loathe the woman. Any married man should
always be faithful to their wife and not desire any
woman. I had a experience where a lady friend
of ours came by when my wife was not home and
when she found out raised her dress up as we
were talking in the garage, and I put her in her
place right then and there and told my wife as I
am that honest with her, and even though she is
my wife's friend she knows now not to disrespect
me or my wife anymore. so men have an
obligation to defend their wife and respect and
love her at all times, just as the wife has to do the
same to the husband, and it works as we have
been married happily over 20yrs.

I wouldn't call it "struggle" but yes, I've had romantic feelings for another man before but I know my boundaries and once it gets to that point, I avoid the situation like the plague. As for your second question: No, I haven't told my husband about this. Knowing my husband, telling him something like this would do more harm than good. Besides, it's something I can handle on my own without having to tell my husband.

I read the confession and as a 31 yr old woman to walk in naked is to give a man eye candy ..something to think about, since men are very visual creatures i think she did it just to tease. And for him to think about her, it worked. As for him desiring her is wrong..and if he pursues then it is morally wrong. What happened that day was harmless.. i am glad he didnt act upon his urges. Eye candy is okay ..but hey i thought that's what strippers are for..lol

We are all humans and it is in our nature, however you must ask yourself and you will find in your concience the answer.

He is so strong because he didn't act on his desire. If I was him I would eventually forget about it and move on but there are people in the world that take everything to the extreme, that is why there is so much hate in the world.

Be tolerant, forgive others but most of all learn to forgive yourself.

It doesn't make it wrong, unless they both follow through with the desire and then desire becomes an affair and then it is wrong.
