I am a 3rd year medical student and I must decide this year what type of doctor I want to be, and I can't decide as there are so many things I like. Any suggestions?

take the ones that you like... make a list of pros and cons for each one... list the reasons why you would think you would like each one... chose the one that has the most pros and less cons!! good luck!!!

Well, its kinda hard for us to help you since we dont really know what you like. Maybe if you tell us some of your interests medically, it might be easier to narrow it down.
First of all, do you like working with any specific age range of people. If you're into kids, pediatrics would be a good place to go, etc... Also, you have to consider what type of practice you want? Like, do you want to have your own practice, do you want to work in a hospital setting, etc. Do you want to deal with a lot of different cases, or very similar ones? Are there any specific parts of your medical training that you really like?

If you like clinical areas, and are good observer, you can be an Internist (and latter, a cardiologist, endocrinologist, etc)

If your hands are agile and you are good at anatomy, you can be a surgeon.

family doc. pediatrician if ur good with kids. those docs that goes into surgery. (if you are very precise with your hands)
