You need to graduate from an approved school of pharmacy. These schools award the Doctor of Pharmacy degree and usually require 4 years beyond the bachelor's degree.

You can expect to make around 50-70k in suburban areas. But remember this isn't a 9-5 job, many pharmacies are 24/7 and in a smaller one you can expect to be cashier and sometimes assist with stocking and other store activities.

It takes on average 6-8 years to obtain a PharmD.
The average starting salary for retail pharmacy is about 100k.

You will need to do well in school in order to get into pharmacy school.
