i want my mom to give me allowance. my dad already gives me allowance but its 10 dollars every OTHER week. yeah so i get 10 one week, then nothing the next, the 10 that week, then nothing, etc etc. i think its kinda dumb. lol so anyways i want my mom to fill in the blanks, so i get 10 every week. how should i ask her? i want to make sure she says yes. 20 dollars a month is just NOT cutting it for me at all.

oh and i already do tons of chores. i wash the dishes and clean the counters AND sometimes sweep on monday, wednesday, and friday. and then sometimes randomly when its not even my turn my mom tells me to do crap like sweep the floors and clean the counter. sometimes i go downstairs and i stay down there for like two hours doing stupid chores, even on SCHOOL nights. yeah i DEFINATELY deserve more.

she's your mother right? I'd suggest that you gave her a breakdown of what you do in a month in terms of your complete expenses in a month and explain to her how you are unable to achieve that with $20 but can with $40. if she is not convinced then find out what chores she has to pay someone to do for her that you could also do and suggest to her that you would do it and she pay you for it same as she pays whoever is doing it for her now.

Your parents should decide together what they want you to have and what it should cover. If you are expected to buy lunches, clothes, makeup, entertainment and recreation it isn't enough. If your parents don't have much or you aren't expected to pay for much it may be enough.
Save half for the week you don't have allowance.
Explain to your parents what good use you make of the current money and what you would spend more on.

My 13 year old sister gets $10 a week, and she pays for lunch (most days she brings lunch from home) and some of her going out with friends stuff.
