I'm going to my next doctors appointment tomorrow and I plan on bringing this up but do any of you get swelling *Down there*? I'm 34 weeks along now and its been happening for about 2 weeks.
Every time I become *aroused* the folds down there get very puffy, and kinda pink. It doesn't hurt , (maybe a little uncomfortable to walk because its kinda a pinching sensation) If I sit in a hot bath or let got water run over my crotch it goes away... but Ive never heard of this before.
Its almost like an allergic reaction but there isn't anything I could be reacting to... I haven't changed my detergents or soaps or anything, and I haven't been cleaning down there harsh or anything I can think of...
Anyone experiencing anything like this with pregnancy?
I know its not an infection or std because I just had those screenings done during my 28th week visit...
Any advice before I check with my obgyn tomorrow?

Yes, it's normal. Happens occasionally - should lie down in middle of day, so swelling won't progress so much. It's the way the weight of the baby is lying in your pelvis.
With my second son, I had one fat ankle, and one skinny ankle - and 'pins and needles' in half my crotch - for days! I walked like a dog after it steps in something wet - step, shake the leg; step, shake the leg. My co-workers felt bad but couldn't help laughing at me.

Well, i dont know what it is. But it sounds similiar to something i experienced. At least the pinching sensation. I dont recall getting it during pregnancy but i did (and still do sometimes) get it after. But ask ur doc for sure! Hope all is well with the baby!

Did this happen ever before you were pregnant? It sounds like a normal reaction for females...when you get aroused your labia & clitoris naturally enlarge and the area usually reddens. Thats normal. And it sounds like thats what your going through. I'm not sure though...asking your Dr. would be your best bet!

gosh girl i am so sorry to hear that i didnt start swelling till i started dialating but i am sure its nothing to worry about you could csll you obgyn's office or the hospital and see if they need to see you right away but i wouldnt worry about it till you go see him then i would bring it up. hope everyhting is okay good luck

i dont know what to tell you. this sort of sounds familiar to me but i dont really recall really. i wish i could help you out more =( i wouldnt worry too much about it to tell you the truth. your body is just going through a lot of different changes right now as "down there" is one of them.

It used to happen to my ex when we had sex while she was pregnant im not 100% but im pretty sure the doctor said it was normal

I had that swelling with both my pregnancies, I think its normal. Ask your OB just to be safe.

your heart rate is faster when pregnant and your pumping more blood so when u get aroused more blood is flowing down their
