I think the issue of the tazing is not political at all. And I think the issue is whether the security officers used excessive force.

I will leave that to the judge.

It didn't look good to me, from a free speech stand-point, but I also wondered if the young man was trying to draw excessive attention and got it...

The person asking Kerry the question was not a conservative. He got tazed because he was resisting arrest. They warned him before they executed. The thing I don't quite understand is why the police jumped straight to arrest.

It doesn't even matter if he was conservative or liberal. I think his freedom was tazed out of him. Are we going to put up with this crap is what the question should be. I like this quote......“A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced, because they love their servitude. To make them love it is the task assigned, in present-day totalitarian states, to ministries of propaganda, newspaper editors and school teachers.... The greatest triumphs of propaganda have been accomplished, not by doing something, but by refraining from doing. Great is truth, but still greater, from a practical point of view, is silence about truth."

Actually unarmed drug users are tazed more than any other group of people in the USA...

There are thousands of people who have died at the hands of police who were aggressive with their tasers.

So maybe this will spark some concern for them for a change.

You see, if a person has cocaine or crystal meth in their system, a taser will often kill them... so why do the police need to use tasers to apprehend unarmed drug addicts?
Isn't that like just saying drug addicts deserve to die?

As a drug addict who has been clean and sober for many years, I feel fortunate that I got a chance to change before being legally murdered by a cop.

lol ... not quite a conservative

Meyer has his own Web site and it contains several "comedy" videos that he appears in. In one, he stands in a street with a sign that says "Harry Dies" after the latest Harry Potter book was released. In another, he acts like a drunk while trying to pick up a woman in a bar.

The site also has what is called a "disorganized diatribe" attributed to Meyer that criticizes the Iraq war, the news media for not covering the conflict enough and the American public for paying too much attention to celebrity news.

... sounds liberal to me

That kid was not a conservative. He was an attention seeker who went there to purposely disrupt Kerry's news conference. I like how it is being said he was just asking a question when he was hogging the microphone spouting several questions one after the other. When the security tried to escort him away he turned and started punching at them. He escalated it to generate hits on his web page, and probably to get a lawsuit in the works in my opinion.

nice job of stretching the truth. the person in question was tazed because he was resisting arrest, not because he asked a question. On the bright side for you, Sean and Rush would be so proud of your disinformation.

Why do conservatives confine liberals to a place several blocks away from the President?

first of all, i don't think he was a conservative. he was saying that bush stole the 04 election. not too many conservatives go along with that.

second, conservatives feel they are a minority that is discriminated against. you all need to pull yourselves up by the bootstraps and quit whining.
