The only way to get rid of these very dangerous ants, is to call Terminix or Orkin. I have the Terminix man come every three months to spray my yard. I have many mounds of fire ants & their bite can be deadly. Terminix doesn't cost that much & it's worth the money you have to spend. Each time you have a heavy rainfall, it will force the red ants up from their nests, so be careful when heavy rains come until you make the call to the Terminix or Orkin. You've already spent $100 to get rid of them but it didn't work. Show the guy where all the ant hills are so he can spray them all, plus the perimiter of your home & your yard.

I've used Terro Ant liquid. It's the best I've found. You put a few drops on a anything non-absorbent in the area you've seen them and they come and lap it up. It works like a charm and isn't messy (it's a clear liquid). They love it. When it's gone, just put a few drops more until no more ants come. The most I've had to use is two treatments of a dime sized area of the liquid. Very quickly, you'll notice ...NO Ants. It's the easiest to use and best product I've found. Don't mess with the traps they sell, just get the liquid. They take it back to the source and it kills them also. Never had an ant problem since.

I promise you that this works because I live in the fire ant capital of the world, So.Ga
Buy "Over and Out" from any store. Use a spreader to apply to yard. Try to put it out just prior to a good rain or water it in. You _Will Not_ see results for 5 or 6 weeks but after that they will be gone for one year. Start spreading on the perimeter of yard and work to the middle. It will usually also kill the ants in adjoining yards. Cost about $20 to treat 5,000 sq. ft. WalMart usually marks the price down this time of year because they don't want it in inventory during the winter.

Not gasoline, use kerosene. The oily substance remains on them. This will not eliminate the nursery or those in the pantry of their tunnels even if you lit the kerosene. Need granuals for them to take to nest for elimination; this again will not eliminate all of that colony. They need moisture for their survival. Do not let rain, etc.. near their mound nor yard or so in radius of each mound. Cover tightly with thick milled plastic and bury edges. This again will not exterminate; may force them to move their colony to a different area.

Antibiotic dish soap quezze it all over. Take your shovel and whack the hills and douce with the liquid. They hate detergents.

Good luck. I have the scars to show how mean the nasty suckers are.

Don't use poison especially if you have pets or kids. Here is a good video on how to use orange oil to kill the Mound quickly and safely.

Granulated molasses broadcast in the area will clean up the rest.
