I think you pretty much gotta go Vokoun here. Florida isn't going to have an amazing season, but they do have some up and coming young talent in Bouwmeester, Weiss, Horton and others. Even though he's the only main piece they've added in the offseason, he is definitely an upgrade over Belfour. At least Florida gets the Caps - the Canes struggled a bit last year, and the Thrashers could be in for a disappointing season.
Edmonton just seems to be in complete disarray right now. Some pundits have even speculated that Mathieu Garon could be getting a lot of the starts, especially towards the end of the year. Penner and Souray were ok FA pickups, but not the answer. Plus that Northwest division is brutal. Not too many wins waiting in Colorado, Vancouver, Minnesota, or Calgary.
In our fantasy draft, Vokoun went in rnd 2, Rolo in Rnd 8. 16 team draft with similar stats to yours. Good luck.

I'd say Vokoun. He'll make FLA better. I think NAS will regret moving him VERY early this season. Mason has had a cup of coffee in the NHL & they're banking their future on it. I'm sure it was a $ decision. Vokoun saw plenty of shots & held down the score. FLA has a decent D core (Bouwmeester, Van Ryn, Salei, etc). I think they will emphasize clearing the crease and rebounds as they are not an offensive juggernaut.
I'm a HUGE fan of EDM & their young/fast/cheap approach. However, they're in a tougher division with more offensive opponents coming to town all season long. Plus I think he'll see fewer games.
Look for Vokoun to start 61-65 games winning 25-30, while Roloson starts 50-55, winning 18-23. Both are good goalies and I'd like to see Roloson on a better team. Not sure why a MON or PHX didn't make a move to get him.

Edmonton will have a better team but Vokoun is the better goalie. Overall I say Vokoun. Can handle more games than Roli. Roli struggles after 25 games. Roli is gettin old so Vokoun is the reliable choice.

After the finish Florida had last year and the one the Oil had. Hmmm I'd ride the tide and go with Vokoun.

well, hard to say. vokoun did pretty well in nashville, but don't know how much he can do on a crappy team like florida. edmonton's not that great of a team either, but i think they might provide better spport to their goalie. i'd choose roloson, but you really can't say for sure until at least a couple weeks into the season.

Florida is going to be this year's surprise team. They keep getting better and better, and no one notices because they are in the south. Edmonton, meanwhile, did very little to improve themselves aside of trade away their best defensive defenseman and added two OFFENSIVE defensemen to the mix. Hmm...
I gotta go with Vokoun. Better goalie. Better team.
