Anacondas are not poisonous - they are constrictors so biting is not an issue. In addition they get their prey by stealth and it is hard to sneak up on a lion.
If they were both confined to the same area only a very lucky snake would survive (because the lion was careless or lazy).
Lions can kill their prey either with a bite or a smack or their paws so I think they would defeat the snake.

Let's put it this way.
In a one-on-one, face-to-face confrontation, the lion would win.
However, the Anaconda is a stealth hunter, and is incredibly strong. Stronger than the lion. If the Anaconda could sink it's teeth into the lion before the lion was aware that it was there, I think the Anaconda would confuse the lion and cause a defensive reaction which is not the right thing to do at that point. I think that the Anaconda could get itself coiled around the lion before it knew what was going on. However, death by constriction takes many breathes by the victim, so a clawed paw of the Lion or a mouth that is able to get a hold of the snake might be able to cause a mortal blow to the snake.
Stealthily, the Anaconda could win.
One-on-One....The Lion Wins!!!!!

It would depend on where they are, probably. Anacondas dont have any venom in their teeth so if it gets to bite a Lion it wouldnt do any immediate harm to the Lions ability to kill it, unless they're near water, in which case the Anaconda might attempt to drown the Lion. Lion's however, as well as other big cats have their own methods of killing snakes, like dodging here and there while delivering blows to the head of the snake. Judging by how much force a full grown Lion can put behind one of those blows, however, the fight would probably be over soon, despite their surroundings, and I dont really think that the Anaconda would be the victor. Anaconda's do hunt Jaguars though, so it may come down to whether the Lion's prepared or not, and which one wants to live more

I don't think an anaconda would stand much of a chance against a big cat. Unless, of course, this hypothetical battle arena was in water. Then the snake might have an advantage. Otherwise, no.

What are the odds the anaconda could pin all four of the lions clawed paws and it's jaws as well? Not very good odds, is there? If all four claws are not pinned and the jaws are not pinned, if even one or two are not pinned, then the lion would rip it to shreds.

What type of Question is that? Well, I guess they would tie. The african lion would die later of the venomous bites from the andaconda, but the loin would kill the andaconda first. Tiger would kill the Andaconda without dying. TIGERS RULE!!!
