About as effective as someone saying Don't Do Drugs. You need more than that. You've got to provide more than that.

Fork violence.

That's not the word I usually use in that saying but it's a young forum ; ) We need to quit glorying violence and raising our children with it to ever rid the world of it all.

Think about it......it's totally insane to have laws to prevent our adults from being hit by others but not our kids!
