The question is "how" small? Stiches are offered to stop bleedng and minimize scarring. If you chose not to stitch it, clean it with soap and water and some rubbing alcohol to get it clean. Apply neosporin and a bandage...just like our mom's used to do for us.

keep it clean and dry until the stitches are taken out, then keep it clean dry and covered until fully healed.
