30 some odd years ago, we used to talk on the CB radio.
At 1st, I didn't cause I thought it was one big pain in the you know what. Then I was out with some friends & a guy asked a friend who that was? And she said, "Oh that's nobody, she don't talk on the raydee-o."
And "Nobody" was born.
It sure did get a lot of guys in trouble when someone would ask "Whatcha doing? Or who are you with?" My sister's handle was "Nuthing" and I was "Nobody".
The CB fell out of favor with the world, then in came the computer age....
When we got ready to move to Texas, I changed the names on all of our accounts & the kids joked about Nobody in Texas. So when I got my Yahoo account, I wanted something funny & unique. And now you know the story of why I am:
NobodyInTexasDoesThat@Yahoo.com
I also have an AOL account, but they only let me use 16 letters.

I've always had this affinity for the moon, and everything that it represents. I also think it is breathtakingly beautiful. So bright and silver! I feel most comfortable and feel more alive when I'm outside underneath the moon. The Goddess part comes in because I'm named after a Goddess. (My Dad was really into Greek mythology and it rubbed off on me too).

I'm a copywriter and editor by profession, so it was more of a play on those two things than on any kind of assumption that I know more than anyone else. I enjoy learning a lot from others here on Y!A, and when I'm able to help, that's always good, too ;o)

I took the word tropical and shortened it. To Tropica because I'm a female. When I use a tropical image as my avatar. I change the name to Tropical. The idea all came because I like tropical images.

Who doesn't love Madame Blueberry? She's a Veggie Tales character.
"Let your kids spend a little time with Madame Blueberry and the rest of the veggies and they'll learn that "being greedy makes you grumpy -- but a thankful heart is a happy heart!"
Madame Blueberry teaches kids why God wants us to be thankful for what we have."

It means single/alone.
I got it from a main character in the death gate novels.
It comes from the term haploid or single celled organisms.
