Let's see here. I am trying to pull from all my hate mail I get from people on politics.

I support Barack Obama and Jon Edwards
I support Universal Health Care, even more so because I am chronically ill.
I support non-embroyotic stem cell research
I am a liberal
I am fluent in French

Apparently, once people find that out about me, they call me a terrorist and call me evil. No one cares that I am a Christian. People tell me that I can't be a Christian and a liberal. Isn't that funny? I always though God don't have a political affiliation. I have never bombed a building or screwed with the economy.

This goes to show that you can't label a person when you don't know them. What seperates us is a computer screen. How much of what people say on here is a lie? If I told you I was 6' and a blone supermodel, how many would beleive me? How do you know who I am? How do you know who anyone is? Seriously? Why all this unwarranted hostility and ignorance towards others?

Every day that I go on here, I see the words "liberals are anti-American" or "liberals support terrorism." It's horrific to me. I'm Jewish, and yet I hear arguments that somehow, I support Iran, who spoke out blatantly against Israel, wanting to purge its Jewish population. I have to wade through arguments that say that I hate our troops for wanting to bring them home. They say I'm anti-American for not supporting a president that I think is hurting our coutry. They call me an idiot for supporting people like Obama in their right to make their opinions blatant on the national stage, and for me to possibly vote for them.
I have to constantly say that I'm not part of these groups they speak of. I'm glad you made this post. It's true, conservatives get a decent share of this, but liberals are the far more widely attacked group on this forum. These people don't know me, they've never met me, and yet they automatically insinuate that I'm a terrible person. Just like you it seems. Thanks for the post, and lets hope some people learn from it.

I'm sorry to hear about your illness . But take a look around and you'll see that many of the users are kids up to no good . Example : the question titled " Like why does George Bush like lie ?" , and the additional information was just as ridiculous . It could have been for real , but I doubt it . It sounded more like a conservative trying to make the left look bad . I'm conservative but I don't want that kind of help .
But I must say that the answers to that question are amongst the all-time best and absolute FUNNIEST that I've ever seen here !!
I can't read your answers to other questions so I'll just have to assume that you haven't been posting treacherous remarks deserving of the retribution that you described .

Chronic-Illness ? -- I do hope you recover . Just a thought.. ... Are you praying fervently ?
And lastly , although I know full well that receiving hatemail sucks , I also find comfort in knowing that God told us that this was actually a form of receiving grace . In fact , he said to REJOICE .

In the warped minds of fundamentalist far-reich whackjob conservative posers, anyone that does not adhere to their backward, flag-waving psuedopatriotic, hypocritical Dark Age-like mentality is considered to be a bad person. They are so full of hatred and verocity towards others that it only highlights their own lack of self-esteem and inability to think for themselves. Thus, they feel the urge to vent out their frustrastions and take it out against the rest of the world. Need you not concern yourself with the blatant idiocy of such individuals. Freedom of expression is such a wonderful ideal, isn't it?

Nope, I don't think you're a bad person at all. I studied French for many years, then moved to southern Cali and couldn't find a decent job because I don't habla. I think that's BS and completely discriminatory.

I'm chronically ill, too, but against the government taking over health care just because it's too large of a bureaucracy to *ever* respond quickly to any situation.

And I could never support Edwards; I believe ambulance-chasers like him are a HUGE part of why health care is so damned expensive in this country. We need to adopt a "loser pays" methodology to our legal system - that will weed out the ridiculous, BS suits yet still allow the legitimate ones to go through.

As for the hostility and ignorance, you just have to try to ignore it. Some people - on both sides - are in desperate need of getting a life. If it makes you feel any better, I've even been attacked by my fellow conservatives on here because I (gasp!) talk to liberals. I even have liberal friends....shhh!

;o)

You get "hate mail" because you send hate mail mindlessly accusing people of being things they are not and when faced with facts and logic all you do is answer with more mindless insults. You are a typical liberal, and yes, that makes you a bad person.
Here is an example from an email you sent me. It proves that you think yourself omniscient and qualified to judge every aspect of other people's lives when all the evidence you have is a small bit of what they write online.
"you are an ignorant person without a coherant arguement, and this is the most fruitful thing you do with your time. If you didn't get my insinuation from my previous email, it just goes to show how uneducated you really are.
."
Remember me? Of course you do. You are perfect and don't forget. I suggest you use spell check before sending me another hateful email. Your bad spelling makes it appear as though you are not so perfect as you imagine yourself and you should not risk it again...

If you show that it bothers you they will continue...If you were to get "hate" mail because you believe in "testing children for research on the cure for "diabetes" would you change who you are as a person with a belief to make others happy?
You stay just the way you are and believe the way you always have, you know how to delete "junk" if you don't like it.

That is just life on YA. I am called names for believing the opposites of what you listed.
I just remember YA is not real life and many of the jerks on here wouldn't have the nerve to call you names in real life.

I will not bash someone on here or call names unless every single post is pure crap.
Everyone has a right to their own opinion...isn't that what makes America great. I may question why you feel the way you do but will not bash you because you feel that way.
That's just my opinion.

Ignorance, being close-minded, not being able to appreciate others for their differences all go into hate mail and hostility.
I am not saying that murderers or sociopaths should be appreciated for their unique perspective!
But nothing you have written suggests illegal or sociopathic beliefs!
Whether I agree with you or not, I feel you are entitled to your opinion and should support such opinions in the way you see fit.
And I wish I was fluent in French!

There is one thing I found out in life.

People are ***holes when you cannot be pigeonholed neatly into any preconceived ideas of how certain people are supposed to believe. People get angry when I tell them I am not Democrat nor Republican. Then people get cross eyed when I tell them my ideas for politics and turn hostile to me for I am a moderate. People need to pigeon hole others for it takes the work of trying to figure out what side you are on and if you are with them or not.

I can't say anything about you as a person because I don't know you but I can say that from what you said that I completely disagree with your politics. I get the same thing because I am almost completely opposite from you. I think some people just hate for hate's sake.
