Do we want idiots choosing our governments? After all 50% of the population is below average intelligence.
A simple intelligence and general knowledge test at the beginning of the ballot paper should weed out the most stupid voters.
Imagine a political campaign aimed at intelligent people?

Interesting how much defensiveness there is for the stupid.
I might well be one of them - so thanks for your support. But be careful when you let me go to a ballot box - I'm going to vote for the party that promises me more money, less work hours, less taxes, better services, more TV channels, faster speed limits, death penalty, free gifts...

No, unintelligent, uninterested wastrels should not be allowed to vote. Unfortunately, allowing them to is the only way the Democrats can win an election, so it is unlikely to get changed.

Our forefathers (and mothers) fought hard to give every American the right to vote. Who are you to want to take it away? And who decides who's intelligent or not intelligent enough...another Hitler?

its my understanding that the only people who are unintelligent are the ones who are not even registered and DONT vote!
