Does any one have a 2002 or newer Chrysler Town and COuntry or a Dodge caravan that has plugged vents making the condensation leak into the car on the passanger side. Recently my car has been expieriencing these problem and Chrysler said this isn't a design defect. I was just wondering if anyone else was expieriencing this design defect.

Let me put my two cents worth in. Does you're van drip water under passenger side under the van with AC on? If it doesn't, the drain is stopped up. If it dose, Where do you live? Dose it get above 50- 60 % humidity? If it dose, get this humid,You're AC is condencing on the bottom of th case and dripping on the floor. The only solution Chrysler has come up with is to run you're AC on recirc. this will keep the humid air outside and help eleminate some of the (sweating) . This is a common problem in humid areas in hot weather.

There is a technical service bulletin that came out in '05 that said that if minivans had wet carpet on pass side, install a drain tube extension on the evap drain and run a bead of sealer around the spot where the tube comes thru the firewall. This should fix your problem.

This is a common problem with all cars. The evaporator core drain is stopped up. This repair should not cost more than $50 to fix!!
