It appears that a liberal has vandalized the Vietnam memorial in Virginia. Reminds me of how they mistreated the vets when they came home back in the 70's.

I guess some things never change, sadly..

I missed the part of the story where they found that it was a liberal who did it. I guess I just never learned to read between the lines to see what isn't there.

Wow, still stuck on that are we? And another Fox News source, oh how credible that is.
But hey, enough with the joking, lets get onto what you're saying. First off, no one was implicated with it, the vandal was never seen nor caught. So defining him as a liberal is impossible. Beyond that, pretty much everyone mistreated vets when they came back from Vietnam, for the reason taht almost everyone disapproved of the war.
Secondly, and I want to make this perfectly clear, liberals support the troops. We have argued for them to have the availability of a longer leave after their service is over. We are the ones wanting them to come home so that more of them don't die on Iraqi soil. We are the ones who support providing them with more gear to keep them safe over there. I don't see how that proves we hate the troops. I hate the war, I hate the fact that we're in it, but the troops are people, people I can respect and who should be respected.

A) Vietnam Veterans memorial is in Washington DC, which is in the District of Columbia, not Virginia.

B) Where exactly does the story say a liberal did this?
Are you assuming that just because it's a Fox news article that it MUST be a liberal?

You are right with one of your statements: Some things never change, sadly; like some people making blanket statements based on nothing but assumptions.

I want you to quote from your article where it specifically states it was the work of left wingers. Go ahead, I am waiting......Can't do it can you. because it doesn't exist.

And the beat goes on.... tell a big enough lie enough times and people will believe it.

Things will change next year when the Democrats win by a landslide. I can hear you now. There must be a conspracy. Someone cheated. It is unAmerican, these guys are traitors. All the same rhetoric. It is getting old and people aren't falling for that clap trap any more.

what makes you so sure it was a liberal that did it ?

I'm a Democrat and I don't recall ever spitting on anyone. and this

"Reminds me of how they mistreated the vets when they came home back in the 70's

Who is they ? because I didn't think the word ( liberal )
was used the way it is today by right wing nut jobs like your self

Vietnam was done on the cheap and many many Americans died there.

Put these into a search engine, read what comes up, and then take another look at your question:

"straw man argument"
"logical fallacy"

There's no way to know that it wasn't just a couple of stupid kids who may be apathetic about any political or war issues. The fact that you assume it was a liberal who vandalized this memorial, and then assert that this represents the feelings of liberals in general, is blatantly logically flawed and positively absurd.

I don't think the "left" is the problem when it comes to people being anti-military... check it out:

Hillary Clinton sits on many subcommittees in the Senate which include:
Airland
Emerging Threats and Capabilities
Readiness and Management Support

John Kerry is a highly decorated veteran.

The Barack Obama plan allows for a limited number of U.S. troops to remain as basic force protection, to engage in counter-terrorism, and to continue the training of Iraqi security forces.
Senator Obama has worked with Senator Durbin to require the VA to provide veterans in six states, including Illinois, with notification of their rights to appeal any benefit decisions. As a result of these appeals, Illinois veterans are starting to see larger benefit checks.

I see you got your information from faux news. How pathetic. Did you have a brother in Afghanistan? No? Have you been overseas in uniform? No, again? Well, I guess you have no idea what it is like to be a solider over there do you? I guess you don't know what it is like to just have your brother back safely. I guess you don't know what it is like to lose someone you know and love over there do you? My brother was lucky, he came back safe, not all of his friends were that lucky. You dare and try to tell me that I don't support the troops when they are my family? Grow up. I guess you don't know that concept, sadly...

What in the world makes you think you could guess the political leanings of the idiot who did this? I'm a liberal, and I'm outraged--both at the vandalism, and at your anti-American accusations.

Support our troops. BRING THEM HOME.
