i have treated many a rabbit that has had a stroke and quite a few have more debilitating stroke symptoms than yours,as i say to owners if your rabbit is happy still eating and acting like a rabbit carry on,your vet should be your first port of call to discuss options, there are lots of things that can be done to help your rabbit ,maybe not get better but prolong her life with out suffering

Usually they don't get better after strokes; however, certain things will improve after a while (the side effects wear off and the rabbit will return more to it's old self). Strokes cause brain damage and often makes animals/people not be able to control their limbs as much. Just keep loving on the rabbit and do everything the vet says.

Have you been to a vet with this rabbit?!

I don't think your rabbit has had a stroke, they're very rare in rabbits, and would probably kill them. I think your rabbit is infected with e. cuniculi - this is a type of parasite that affects the brain and causes the symptoms you've described. It is the number ONE cause of head tilts in rabbits.

Treatment is with antibiotics and a specific wormer for rabbits. Once affected like this, they never completely recover, but you need to get the rabbit to a vet to salvage what little quality of life he has left!!

Most people are unaware that rabbits need to be wormed regularly to prevent this occuring. Panacur Rabbit is available from vets for this very purpose.
