This may provide us with some insight, as one leftist blogger explained:

"If we are in the throes of a new kind of Cold War, perhaps it makes sense to align oneself with Washington’s new enemies. If one can reach the conclusion that the Kremlin stood for historical progress, despite its hidebound bureaucratic top layers, why not see political Islam in the same fashion? If secular and socialist forces are exhausted, why not form alliances with a powerful global movement that seems to have inexhaustible reservoirs of anti-imperialist fervor?

Some of Hezbollah’s biggest fans are in Europe. There, the hard left, demoralized by the collapse of communism, has found new energy, siding with Islamist militants in Lebanon"

First let me say that the blogger's post is reprehensibly misleading .Every Anti-American portion of it made me sick to my stomach .

Now to your question . I believe that deep-down the liberal democrats plan on negotiating with the Radical Islamists because they 'think' that the radical islamists will not attack us if we try to be friends . This is a ridiculous assumption on their part . Radical Islamists have clearly stated their goals of total world control . That is not debatable . That was in their own words . And this is why Americans will not elect a democrat in 2008 .

As a side note : I've got the TV on and just now the anchorman read several emails from. . .. DEMOCRATS who are saying that , as a result of Hillary's 'liar' comment and her refusal to condemn that Moveon ad , they're walking away from Hillary !!!

This is ______ Great !!!

I can't wait to see the polls in about a week or so .

Which country's left are you talking about?

The left here? Oh please. Why us? Because we want out of Iraq? Yes? Why do you think that is? Maybe because mission accomplished hasn't been accomplished? Maybe because a certain General back in 2004 said “tangible progress“ in Iraq and that “Iraqi leaders are stepping forward.” Really? Who took a month off for vacation? We would like to see political progress being made. I don't see it. The White House does not see it.

Was not bin Laden labeled a terrorist? Was not bin laden behind the worst terrorist act performed on America in its history? 3000+ dead? And WHO took him off the priority list?? A leftist President? I don't think so.

And to tell you the truth you answered your own question by quoting from that article.

"Some of Hezbollah’s biggest fans are in Europe. There, the hard left, demoralized by the collapse of communism, has found new energy, siding with Islamist militants in Lebanon"

Not something that has happened here, but in Europe.

And no, any democrat who DOES apologize for that ad is an idiot.

Was not everything in that ad backed up with facts? Or did we not bother to read the ad and research it ourselves to verify what they said?

Where is a rebuttal to this ad? I would like to read it. Not the ad Rudy took out, but the ad that says that they moveon lied about what the General has said.

does this mean if I dont agree with what king george is or isnt doing in washington Im in line with Radical Islam???

are you really saying that???

I find that hard to accept because I dont see the seperation in either party,

they are both basically diffrent shades of the same fabric, and although I will admit that I have liberal ideas, I have conservitive ones as well,

I just wish there was a party that wasnt so concerned with thier own power and control that would do something in washington besides ***** about the other side

you know one that actually had concern for the citizenship

I remember yet another one someplace else yet could no longer think of of it to Google suitable on the 2d. Smaller, yet nevertheless terrorist assaults on American soil. it particularly is extremely real and an important threat suitable right here at domicile. there is often the severe hype from the media and components which will use some thing like this for his or her very own own income and hobbies. this shouldn't make the yank human beings think of any much less of the easily threat it particularly is on the marketplace.

And, of course, this man stands for all liberals everywhere, right? I mean, obviously when you say liberals are "aligning themselves with Radical Islamic terrorists," you're talking about my nonexistant contributions to terrorist organizations like Hezbollah. And obviously I don't support Israel, dispite being an ardent contributor to their country and a Jew.
I'm a liberal, and I will proudly state that I do not support any terrorist actions. I will and have gone on these forums to protest our actions in foreign nations because I believe all we do is breed more terrorism. I do not support their actions, but I will give reasons why they act as they do, and possibilities for how to stop those actions without bloodshed. That does not make me a terrorist supporter.

I believe it may have to do with terrorism being a tool that is resorted to out of weakness and that the left tends to feel sympathetic toward the weak. However, I think a better question in light of recent videos is what is the rationale for Islamic terrorist to support the political left that is way more opposed to the results in society of imposing its beliefs than the political right?

I met a lady of about 40 - 50 yesterday, very light skinned blue eyed blonde, a teacher, who went out of her way to tell me she was a Muslim and fasting for Ramadan, that was a first for me, I have never met a Scandinavian Muslim before, but she may well have been someone from the left who is going out of her way to make her point. I thought it was a little interesting...

They want to make Bush look bad.

To them that is far more important than trying to stop those who are out to kill us.

Why else would they create consiparcy theories about Bush doing 9/11.

Who are the "political left," specifically?

I'm a liberal-leaning person who wants to live an active, outdoor life somewhere scenic. I do psychotherapy with kids. That's really about it. The rest is rhetoric. Do I count as an ally to terrorists?
