Your best investment would be to go for the motorcycles with the greateast appreciation value. The highest appreciation values seem to belong to the old Indian and the old British motorcycles. Your best investment list might go something like this,
Any pre-1950's Indian Chief
Any 1960's Triumph Bonneville
The original Triple Threat and Vetter's Designed BSA
1973 Triumph X75 Hurricane
The original Super Bike of the late 60's and early 70's
Triumph Trident T150
Last but not least, any 60's period BSA or Norton !!
These motorcycles demand the highest prices and all have a 5***** star rating. Thats how I would invest in any 5 motorcycles !!!

I'll give you the Triumphs, they have a bike for almost every style of riding:
Cruiser: Rocket III - at 2300 cc the largest production motorcycle.
Standard: Bonneville - nice, nostalgic ride
Hooligan: Speed Triple is a preferred bike of prefessional stunt riders
Sport: Daytona 675 tops the 600 japs in performance and style (IMHO)
Sport Touring: Sprint ST is a reliable, long distance runner.
The only thing missing from their line-up at the moment is a large tourer like the Gold Wing or FJR.
