I lightly spray all over and just wipe up if it is on
too heavy. I spray my kitchen counters, besides the
bathroom stuff, and have had no problems.
I use "Foaming Spray Disinfectant" in the bathroom,
made by Bissel. Just spray around tub, etc, let sit for a short while and rinse off. Comes up like new. This cleans and Disinfects in one application. There are other brands.

I clean my toilets daily with a variety of household cleaners. If I'm in a bit of a hurry, I just spray Lysol on my toilet & wipe it down with paper towel. I use Vanish toilet bowl cleaner in the toilet, then spray a little Lysol in the toilet daily

I use disinfectant cleaner wipes on my sink and toilet and then I use a disinfectant spray. Don't wipe off spray or it won't disinfect.

Umm... this is my thought. Try bleach and water. Most disinfectents are based from bleach.
