I have stuck up for Grossman for going on 2 years now and I am just about out of patients. It wasn't the Int's he threw last game, it was the open WR's that he missed by 3 feet that got to me. He also seems afraid to throw the deep pass anymore. Other then the game 1 pass attempt to Berrian which was intercepted against S.D. , I dont think he has attempted a pass longer then 15yds. If the bears offensive coordinator is afraid to use him then bench him. I either want to see the O-coordinator start to use him and the speed the bears have at WR with Berrian, Davis, and Hester or lets go a different direction. What do you guys think, should I just hang in there. I am a life long die hard bears fan, I guess I am just frustrated.

I usually dislike when people comment on spelling because that is not the point of this site, but in this case I appreciate your help. I could not for the life of me remember how to spell patience and I did not have the patience to do spell check. I am a firefighter/paramedic and the spelling "patients" was the only one I could come up with even though I knew it was wrong, thanks.

I am no Griese fan either but eventually you have to try something different. I like the idea of waiting till week 4 which is the first divisional game against Detroit and he does have a lot of upside, as opposed to Griese which we already kind of know what we'll get. I think our defense this year is the best its been since 1986 (the year after the superbowl defense) and would hate to see it ruined by offensive mistakes.

I'm in the same boat as you. I've been a Bears fan for a long time and can remember the QB carousel days, especially with Cade McNown, Henry Burris, Moses Moreno, Chad Hutchinson, Craig Krenzel, Kordell Stewart, so I was excited when Grossman came out of the gates last year the way he did.

The fact is, he's gone from high-risk, high-reward to low-risk, no-reward. Sooner or later, he's going to have to stop worrying about fundamentals and just start flinging the ball like he did last year. It's not helping that the O line stinks, especially the right side. I was a doubter of this line last year, and they didn't do anything to improve it.

But, opening the season in San Diego against a very good defensive team is a tall task for most QBs. The line didn't do very well, and what's missed most with Jones gone is his blocking--the man was a phenomenal blocker. I was hoping he would progress against KC, but he didn't do much to assuage my fears. I'm giving him until week 4, which is the first divisional game. If he stinks then, we have to make a switch, although I'm not a big fan of Brian Griese and don't think he'll make as much of a difference as people would like to believe.

This is it for Grossman. Its his contract year, and normally players do well when they're playing for a new contract. If the Bears don't resign him and don't get McNabb or somebody in the offseason, I'm afraid that we're going to be back on the carousel. The Bears' window is this year, maybe next year.

I'd say hold out hope for a few more weeks, but that's it.

Haha yeah, i'm kinda excited for this matchup, inspite of each thing soccer is soccer, yet i'm extraordinarily beneficial Rivers and Cutler have grown over that opposition, through fact they are in diverse divisions now. yet whats up, this is achievable they nevertheless hate eachother. i'm a sprint fearful approximately vs. Nathan Vasher nonetheless. If he manages to intercept a Cutler bypass or 2, it says ALOT approximately Lovie Smith's hide 2 scheme. then lower back, this is purely preseason so it does not certainly count. BQ: protection OJ Atogwe. he's a limited unfastened agent, and may cost the Bears alot, yet he's a excellent 10 protection so if the Bears can by some skill sign him a young, then they are filling a choose/getting a means participant, like the signing of Julius Peppers. On excellent of that, they had have extra selections interior the draft to envision drafting OL.

Understandably frustrated, but it is quite early in the season. I agree with you that they should be more aggressive with Grossman. I don't think benching him is the answer. Griese isn't perfect either.

You must be a bad doctor if you're almost out of patients. (haha, "patience")

But seriously, yeah, no QBs from Florida (esp. Spurrier era) can succeed in the NFL, because in college their job was to heave bombs at fast recievers against undermatched DBs. This doesn't work in the NFL.

I'm still mad that we didn't pick up Drew Brees in free agency last year but I'm out of patience myself, Grossman has got to go!

We have been historically week at QB since the days of Jim Miller... this is really nothing new. Unfortunately. I don't know why we can't seem to find consistency at QB, but I'm tired of it...

When your best offense iswhen the other team kicks the ball then you have some major QB probs but for some reason they love that crappy QB grossy we can only hope he gets hurt
