I was five and curious as to what would happen if I took the bulb out of a lamp and stuck my finger in after switching it on. I had been told so many times while watching mom or dad change a bulb to never do this that I just knew I had to find out what would happen. I did think maybe it could make you sick, like eating too many cookies, but I had no idea it would do anything like what it did. I'm lucky that American household current is only half of Europe's and rarely fatal or I would'nt have had a long life to brag about in heaven.

It wasn't too bad but when I was a kid I was plugging in a radio and touched the plugs at the same time. Ouch.
