Keep in mind, police safety is paramount in this situation. If a person is resisting arrest, he is more likely to injure himself and police if he is not tazed than if he is.

Tasers should be used when a person is a physical threat and not just being a big-mouthed pushy annoyance.
Too many people have had heart attacks after being tazed.
We don't want another Kent State.

Look at this way: If you're under arrest and you argue, resist, fight, run, and put up a fight, what are the chances that cops are actually going to take a step back and say "gee you're right, what were we thinking?" Regardless of what you did to get arrested in the first place, they're going to take you down now for resisting arrest! Simple as that! Had that idiot college brat just shut up and gone with police in the first place he might have had a case. But resisting arrest in front of a room full of people isn't going to help your case in court!

No man it don't work that way . As a former cop I can tell you that those officers handled the situation incorrectly . They were weak and not in charge . Exactly the opposite of what they're trained to be .

If that kid really deserved to be removed(and I'm not sure that he did) then they should've just done it . Period ! No delays , no bargaining , nothing .
If 2 or 3 cops can't take-down a young kid like that , then they don't belong on the force .
And I certainly would never trust any of them as my partner. .. . my back-up . Geeesh , no way !!

The dude was being belligerent. He got tazed. Any questions on that? If you draw the attention of five officers, you should expect that the response will be unpleasant. I think after a couple of beers he'll be ok.

According to Democrats, and John Kerry, anyone who dares to oppose them should be Tazed

Had he, or any other Liberal been elected, they would have followed in the footsteps of their Hero, "Uncle" Joe Stalin, and opened "re-education camps" to house those Americans who dared to disagree with them.

Simultaneously, they would claim to be the "protectors of 'Free Speech'" (for themselves and their allies only, of course).

It's better than beating them with a club, and actually quite humane. It causes temporary weakening of the muscles, similar to tranquilizing animals.
