If you review the history of car names going back 100 years there were initially model numbers or letters. Then they chose words that sounded fast or sporty and then futuristic relating to science fiction and the space race. And some were related to elegance to make you think you were buying something "Royal". Later they borrowed a few native american names and there was some protest to this by a few tribes.

If you look at the periodic table of elements you will find "Cobalt" (Co) listed at #27. So, maybe they are going to do a few periodic table names in the next few years. Cobalt is not a name owned by anyone and it can't sue someone for damages or user fees. Just like "Gold" and "Platinum" and "Titanium" which are popular names for credit cards and make people think they are "special" if they carry one of these cards.

Good Luck!
