where are the palo verde beetles this year?

I am a native of Phoenix ,the beetles always come for the monsoon and leave holloween .Has construction altered their habitat so much that they have gone away?

Wonder if excessive heat and lack of monsoon rains are the culprit......

Palo verde beetles get in the roots of unhealthy trees. There is not any information on the web sites that they are poisonous.

No, they were displaced by migrant workers from the south.
