The one I really remember was released in 1996 after the Dunblaine massacre. Bob Dylan allowed a local musician to write an extra verse, and Mark Knopfler played guitar.
But I also like Bob Dylan's original, and occasionally Guns N' Roses version.
I never really liked Eric clapton's version
