My opinion. The next President elect will be one who doesn't speak of pulling the troops. The decision was made to break Iraq down to the bare bones. To rebuild in our own image. This gives the U.S. a spot smack dab in the middle of the Middle East. The talk of getting our troops out is just that. We are not leaving. It is about power, oil, water and Israel. Now whether the Middle East is going to let us get away with this is yet to be seen. Hold on everyone it could get strange from here. I am one of those that was against this invasion/occupation from the beginning. No good will come from this. Watch what we do with Iran. That will be the next ill conceived move of this administration.

None. The Iraqis are going to have to straighten out their own mess. We're just giving them the opportunity. If enough Shiites insist on retribution for all these years of Sunni domination, if the Kurds lose patience (especially since everybody wants to share in their oil revenues), or if any of a lot of other possibilities occur or continue, it may be, as some have asserted already, hopeless.

None of them .The Islamic rules etc have to take over and get things straight .When they all stop hating and fighting one another then maybe some one from the out side could help. But right now that looks impossible, Mudhammered and allahs cant even get things straight

We have seen that the congress is not capable of military tactics and planning along with our military leaders who only plan with what they got available. There is no one of high rank willing to adapt depending on situations. I think John McCain is the most qualified as he has a military background. He can devise a plan to aid the countries we are involved in and reach a solution to end the conflicts without our military looking like we ran away...again.

That is really up in the air. The candidates may say one thing, then do another. I am really reluctant to believe what any of the Presidential candidates say. Remember, most of them voted YES to the war.

I don't think that anyone can honestly do anything to fix the mayhem that we have unleashed there. The only thing that we can do is pull out asap and stop getting our soldiers killed. This collapse of Iraqi society was completely predictable before the war, and bush went in and caused it anyways.

Ron Paul,
Wants to withdraw troops and leave the middle east all together. Let them deal with their own issues. He wants to continue hunting down the real terrorists Al Quada.
Iraq needs to have a civil war and have access to their own oil to get through this.

Romney.
The guy knows how to do business.
Baghdad will be a thriving metropolis and the people benefiting from it will not allow any more of this insurgent nonsense.
Iraq's biggest problem will be how to keep all the Jordanian businessmen out so they can keep all the money.
