Chicago Dan...those are all worthless...true anime...jesus I can't stand people that say stuff like that. You probably liked Grave of the Fireflies didn't you? *rolls eyes*
Anyways Naruto is awesome, I'm 22 going one 23 pretty soon and I've been watching/reading it since whenever the heck it started circulation. This show isn't even in the same league as Pokemon or any other kid show like that. Keep watching/reading it...you're never to young to be entertained by ninjas.

Not at all, the original Japanese version is targeted for older audiences. The original content includes blood and language that did not make it into the English dub. If you fell that the Toonami version is a little too kiddy, try watching the Japanese dubbed version online. Also the Shippuden is a little more mature than the original Naruto, we at least in my opinion.
(I'm 17 and I watch it)

no.. theres nothing wrong with that.. I love lots of anime, so do all my friends, and I'm going to be 16 on Halloween. I'm addicted and so are most of the people I hang out with.. you meet some pretty cool people in the manga section at Borders. haha. One of my friends, Harold, I met in the manga section at a midnight ball for the release of the seventh and final *sad* Harry Potter book. haha. that was the most awesome time ever because of him and my other friends. We talked about Bleach alot and the he gave me a couple energy drinks that he had in his pocket [he bought a six pack before coming to the party] and he comes and hangs out with my and my friends at the football games and we jump around alot.. haha. it's great. Liking Naruto doesn't make you weird, and if it does, who wants to be normal?!

In my opinion it is weird that anyone of any age would like it. I wish that there was a different term for animes like naruto, Pokemon, DBZ and the like. True anime are the greats like Macross, Bubblegum Crisis, Ninja Sword, Save my Planet Earth and even Ghost in the Shell.
Lex - I've been watching anime as long as you've been alive and I stand by my statement. *pats the little boy on the head to reassure him he will gain wisdom some day* Now I will admit that the original versions of Naruto my be good, but the US ones sink. I've seen Japanese cuts of both DBZ and Pokemon and I still felt they were childish and catered to the masses and not true anime fans. Furthermore don't knock Robotech. If it was for Speed Race, Battle of the Planets, and Macross/Robotech you'd be stuck watching Warner Bros. and Disney today. To me Macross/Robotech is the epitome of what anime is! Well written stories, well drawn, great balance of drama and action. An epic story. If you've never seen it I recommend watching a three story archs of Robotech. No your roots son and respect your elders.
So keep coming with those thumbs down people. Thats right lets see just how many I can get for stating the truth you are all to afraid to admit.
So let us not even recognize that there is a distinction between cartoons and animated series here in the US. A cartoon is geared towards a younger audience and usually has tamer fair, say shows such as Care Bears, Trolls (That might be a "z" not an "s", and Sponge Bob. An animated series on the other hand normally deals with more "adult" themes; say Gargoyles, The Batman and GI Joes: Sigma Six.
