The job of president is a very difficult and stressful one. The job of pleasing everybody is an impossible one.

To do it properly is difficult. A president is made responsible for the welfare, safety, and quality of life for an entire nation - - over 281,421,906 people as of April 2000 - - and that is a lot of responsibility. He/She not only has to take into consideration the wants of the nation, but their wellbeing as well. For example, we might all WANT to pay No Taxes, but we NEED to pay taxes to pave roads, pay for public education, and fund programs like child protective services and child welfare programs - in that instance, he/she has to balance wants with needs. Additionally, with that many people to work for, not everyone will be happy.
It's a combination of public servant and national parent, and as anyone who has ever been a parent, a supervisor, a manager, etc. knows, that is the hardest job of all.
That being said, some have done exceptionally well at it, and, as we're all finding out, some have done exceptionally poorly at it!

Yes they have to make decisions of the demands of their corporate backers and take responsibility for them no matter how they turn out. Bush has the impossible task of telling his country the benefits of invading Iraq, then again he is just a puppet!

It cant be to difficult or impossible. look who's doing it now, as it appears all you have to do is listen to the mic in your ear and repeat what you hear. preferably in English and not in the rare form of dyslexic Texican that His Majesty the Phonic King El Presidente Senior Bushler speaks

Decode this lyrics " Jingle bell"
At first it were tough.
Having found the wooden staff for the shepherd.
It's plain sailing jingling all the way to X'mas.
When miracles and wonders do happen in the real world.

Difficult, yes! Impossible, evidently not since we've had one for 240 years.

It is only difficult if you don't have a brain. Luckily for Bush American voters weren't bothered about that.

Anyone can be President of the US. I just wish they would stop proving it.
