I can see how you would disagree with it. I, myself, think that it is also pretty disrespectful and potentially harmful to your feelings. After a recent divorce, there is no way that not only a new "girlfriend" be introduced but also pushing aside old memories and replacing them immediatly with this new woman.

Talk to your dad and tell him how you feel..I am sure he will understand.

If you need someone to talk to my email address is available.

No, not at all. If you and your boyfriend broke up, do you sleep on the same bed with your new boyfriend?

There's not really any difference. Sure, your parents were married and you're just dating. But, they're both "relationships". Plus, your parents divorced.

So, I think you're attacking the new girlfriend and using material stuff (the bed) as a node to your madness.

That actually is wrong. Either your dad should get a new bed, or uh get a new bed. Cause i don't think you feel comfortable with this. Or you can tell your dad's girlfriend that it was the same bed your mom and dad slept on together (if she doesn't already know) this can really scare the crap out of her.

no.. some people just fall out of love or there could be an even bigger reason that they are divorced and they dont think its right to talk to you about it.
Remember that just because they are not married anymore doesnt meen your father cant find someone he does want to be with. Everyone needs the feeling of being in love and if he is in love with this new girlfriend.
You should be happy he is happy and not turing into a couch potato who gave up on love!

if it bugs you that bad, have a talk with him about it, i bet he will understand.

No, it's not screwed up. Your dad's an adult, and is pursuing other relationships. What I think is really screwed up is adults and their double standards. He shares a bed with his girlfirned, but if he found you in bed with someone he would flip.

I know I would not want to sleep in the same bed as the ex. It just would gross me out.

no not at all.its a bed its not like hes asking your mom to get out of it so he and hes new women can use it. if it does not bother them why should it bother you. if this is all you have to be upset about then you have nothing. like i said ITS JUST A BED.

As long as he changed the sheets, I guess it's okay. It's kind of wierd that he's so obviously moving on in front of the kids, though.
