next fri 28th ill be 2 months and i guess there going to ask me questions and stuff... but there going to check the babys heart beat ... what is that called where they check the heart beat? and maybe do u think theyll try and give me a pic of my baby???? or is it to earlly... cuz i thought a sonogram was the pic thing

8 weeks is a little early to hear the heart beat. I'm going for my 10.5 week appt on friday and they said they might be able to get the heart beat, but no guarantee, baby is still very small. They will probably schedule you for a sonogram within the next few weeks.

a sonogram/ultrasound they call it both thats where you can recieve a picture of your baby. The thing they use to check for that baby's heartbeat is a doppler its like a stethoscope for us but stronger. They did it for me when i thought i was 2 1/2 months but it turned out i was farther along then i thought i turned out to be 14 weeks. Which was cool cuz that means im closer to getting the ultrasound you usually get one at 5 months unless they find a problem.

A doppler is used to hear the baby's heart beat, usually around 10-13 weeks into the pregnancy. It cant take a picture, it just picks up sounds. If they do a sonogram, or ultrasound, they will usually print out a picture for you to keep.

At the 6/7 weeks ultrasound, I heard the heartbeat and they also gave me pictures of the baby or bean in a sac. hehe

some doc's do a trans vaginal ultrasound to confirm pregnancy, they ususaly print out a little ppic for you then. The bayb will be small, but visible!! Good luck
