Someone told me to eat gelatin a long time ago and I did it (like just a little every day -- it's good too) and it helped a lot. I just don't care right now. I have very thin nails that crack and break easily. Give it a try -- it's not just a myth.

rub a small dab of vitamin e cream into your nail a few times a day...especially after your hands are in water. Your nails will become stronger and you will find that they don't break or chip very easily!

You should try to use nailteq. It is a nail strengthener and works really well. If you want to approach it a different way, eating shrimp with shell on helps also.

Eat some Jell-O, the gelatin in it helps. If you're not on a good daily vitamin, you may have a deficiency that's adding to the nail problem.

Most of the Sally Hansen range will help.
Soaking them in warm olive oil everynight for five minutes each hand will help too - massage oil into cuticles after.

eat jello, drink milk, and when you have nothing else to do with your hands, tap the nails on the table.
If your fingernails break easily it means you need more protein and iron in your diet.
Soaking your hands in vinegar can also help.

The old fashioned remedy: Drink Knox gelatin. You can buy it in the supermarket. Sometimes it is unflavored and you mix it with juice, other times you can find it flavored and you mix it with water.
