Just need help on these last problem and I m done with my homework! I m having problem making an equation for them.

1) two cyclists, 90 mi apart, start riding toward each other at the same time. One cycles twice as fast as the other. If they meet 2hours, at what average speed is each cyclist traveling?

2) Jack, Kay, and Lynn deliver advertising flyers in a small town. If each person works alone, it takes jack 4 hours to deliver the flyers and it takes lynn 1 hour longer than it takes kay. Working together, they can deliver all the flyers in 40% of the time kay working alone. How long does it take Kay to deliver all the flyers alone?

3) Kiran drove from tortula to a distance of 250 mi. She increased her speed by 10mi/h for the 360 mi trip to dry junction. If the total trip took 11 hours what was her speed from tortula to cactus?

1) figure it like this. Sijnce they are riding toward eachother, they cover the entire trip, 90 miles, in the 2 hour frame.

Person B rides at X per hour speed.
Person A rides at 2X per hour speed.
and since 2 hours is the time frame,

2(2x) + 2 (X) = 90
2X + X = 90/2
3X = 45
X = 15

A rides at 30, B rides at 15 miles per hour.
For the 2 hour run, A covers 60 miles, and B covers 30 miles.
for a total of 90 miles.

2) This one has me stumped.

3) not enough information. "Cactus" is not given in the formulaic storyline.

x= rider 1 distance; y= rider 2 distance
x+y=90
y= 2x (rider 2 is twice as fast)
x+2x=3x=90.
x=30, thus y=60
they took 2 hours to do their miles. Thus one went 15 miles an hour and the other 30 miles and hour
