A dolly and its wheels have negligible mass.
The object on the dolly weighs 304 N and
the force on the rope is 23 N. The
acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s/s.

If a person pulls on the rope with a
constant force what is the
acceleration of the system? Answer in
units of m/s/s.

Assume the system starts from rest and there are no frictional forces opposing the motion of the system.

Use F=m*a
the mass is 304/g N
or 304/9.8

so
23=a*304/9.8
solve for a

once you have a, plug into the following equation for displacement
s(t)=.5*a*t^2
along with t=3.29.
