No, it would never work. Someone else would simply come to power. Human nature prevents anarchy from actually existing.

I agree that the Bush administration sucks but I don't think anarchy would be better. Things are relatively stable at most local levels.

I hate to admit it, but we are better off with the Monarchy Bush has set up for himself than anarchy. At least our government is somewhat in tact, Unless Diebold saves the republicans, the Monarchy will end soon, and we can go back to having a country where people opinions count.

Classical anarchy (as a political movement and ideology) was based on the premise that people behave more or less in keeping with others' expectations of them. That without the negative structure of laws and enforcement, people are actually less likely to behave in ways that are detrimental to society.
Bush and co. are all about that negative structure -- for everyone except themselves.
