Can I just get it re-keyed or do I have to replace? Is replacing easy? I am a novice.

A good locksmith can cut you a key to fit your existing lock.
What you have to do is look at how much it would cost to replace the lock vs. having the locksmith cut a key.

Stay away from dealers, they know the least and charge the most. The ignition key fits the front door locks so that would mean the ignition key has been changed. It is a simple task to remove a door lock. I would contact a lock smith and get a price. A body shop would probably know how to change the locks if locksmith too costly. You would have to buy complete new locks. Also, if you have a glove box that locks you can remove that lock and take it to a locksmith. It has a number he can use to make a key.
