What are some good alternatives for an upset tummy? I take a perscription med with a side effect of upset stomach, and with that you cant take anything such as Pepto, etc. I take it twice a day so Im pretty much ALWAYS nauseated.
What are some things I could eat/drink/whatever to get me thru my day?

The best natural things for upset stomachs are Ginger, Peppermint Oil, and Aloe Vera.
If you are taking it as often as twice a day, you may want to talk with a doctor to find out what's causing it.... you may be able to take some other natural product that can help the problem that's causing the upset in the first place. E-mail me if you'd like more info (as I'm sure I'd need more input)

Peppermint essential oil. Rub a few drops on your abdomen a couple of times a day. Inhale the vapor from the bottle of oil a few times a day. That should ease your nausea within five minutes.

I think you need to treat herbal specialist - Korean doctor!
I show you two case for nausea as follows.
Case 1
Nausea in Pregnancy
Mrs. T. O : female
English teacher in Elementary school, Seoul
eye color: blue
Nationality; Canada
age: 34
1. Chief complaints
Extreme nausea and vomiting for several weeks of pregnancy
The peace could not last over 30 minutes.
2. Diagnosis
Humidity and heat due to the pregnancy
3. Pathology
Pregnancy requires high level of energy production and lots of fluid.
But over-heat and over-humidity could interfere digestion . Over-heat exausts "ki" and over-humidity obstruct flowing "ki"
So, she experienced such symptoms.
4. Prescription
To make the body over heated cool and to harmonize the humidity of digestional organs.
She had never taken herbal treatment before and seemed to be afraid of first experience. So I suggested to take ready-made herbal packs provided by a pharmaceutical company. She had taken the pack to swallow for over 30 minutes for being afraid of new nausea and vomiting.
After great adventure, she said she couldn't feel any sign of vomiting and went back peacefully. The next day, she visited the clinic again and requested to give same prescription as before.
She really looked delightful just as something had happened never before.
Case 2
Chronical stomach pain
S. R. Nam : male
age46 as of 2005, 6,14
address; Jinjusi Kumgang gu Jungcheon ri
occupation: carpenter
1. Chief complaints
Pains with being felt something like boiling water in the stomach but found nothing wrong with endoscope.
Past & present disease: hepatitis B type-persistent
2. Referred signs
Appetite; good but not comfort to digest
Urine: yellow
Feces: black and cluster like goat's
Sweat: looked a lot
Tongue: coated yellow
Pains with finger examination: upper right abdominal
upper centeral abdominal
central abdominal
These area felt very sever pains with slight figer press.
3. Diagnosis
Constitution: Liver: small and weak
Heart: small
Digestional organs: small
Lung & Kidney: average
Above means he is constitutionally weak for hepatitis virus and easy to get heated on digestional organs.
Present status: The heat on upper abdominal makes the patient to drink cold water and cold foods and such as this habit accelerate the heat production on upper abdominal - this means inflammation in digestional organs.
4. Pathology
Heat calls for cold and cold calls for heat. This accelerations have the body and the soul consume lots of bioenergy.
As the result, exhausted bioenergy cannot protect from outside vice and perform normal mechanism.
5. Prescription
-To help digest to decrease digestional burden
-To stabilize the liver not to produce heat
-To make the abdominal area cool for normal activity
The herbal composition in detail could not be disclosed.
6. Result
1. 1st prescription (14 une 2005)
The patient said " Very comfort to digest and feel nothing in Abdominal."
2. 2nd Prescription ( 2nd July 2005)
No pain with finger examination in upper and central abdominal.
3. 3rd Prescription ( 10 August 2005)
The patient did not check the status of hepatitis B type. However he said "Everything is very good. I don't need to go to the hospital anymore. Now, I think I need the "Boyak"(herbal prescription for improvement of general biocondition).
3rd Prescription of "Boyak" shoul be also emphasized on stabilization of Liver.
I you are interested in treatment, please visit the site
