We named our baby Taylen and now they keep getting called the wrong sex by nurses. What does this sound like to you?

Why would I mention the nurses if I hadn't named my child that? Actually the nurses and one doctor has called thought they were the opposite sex. Our baby is in the NICU and not wearing clothes so that won't help them determine the sex.

We have a girl! It is pronounced Tay-Lynn. I'm not really concerned about people liking her name because they didn't have her. I was just curious as to what people thought. I thought the name was unisex actually. Our plans were to name our daughter Taylen and if we were having a boy Taylon. Thanks!

Well, I guess it sounds like a boy to me just because I know 2 boys named Taylen. It is a great name! I have a girl Payton and always get that it should be a boys name.

Taylen is a unique name. To me, it sounds like a name for a girl or boy. Knowing she's a girl, Taylen's nurses should definitely be more conscious of her gender when caring for her.

I know It's stressful to have your little one in the NICU; I hope little Taylen is doing well.

Taylen sounds (to me) like a boys name. I am pronouncing it as TAY-Lan. Just like it is spelled. Is that correct?

Either way, its a nice name, I like it :~)

well i hope your baby is doing well and as for the name it is awful it is not too late to give your child a real name.if it is already this much trouble it will only get worse!!!! this person has to live with this made up name and that is not fair.i hope you will give your child a new name that he or she will be happy with.good luck to all of you.remember being unique does not mean being stupid!
