Do you feel like yanking them out of thier car shoving the phone down thier throat.
I'm especially annoyed by the teens who do it while driving around in the car daddy bought them.

I have mixed feelings on the subject. I've seen some pretty crazy driving being done by people on cell phones, so I can appreciate the rationale. But the same can be said for people eating and driving... or driving with kids in the car. Are we going to ban those distractions too? Banning cell phone use altogether seems extreme to me. But I don't know of any states that ban the use of cell phones with a head set or on speaker. That seems like a reasonable compromise.

I think that is a harsh steriotype. How exactly do you tell by just peering through a passenger window at someone that daddy bought them that car? I think that would have been a fair assumption back in the mid-09's when only preps and valley girls had cell phones that rich daddy pays for, but its too common place these days to assume anything based on just a cell phone.

Personally, talking on the phone is the only thing that keeps me sane from sitting in traffic for two hours during the commute home. I moreso fear the people who are paying too much attention to what other drivers are doing instead of keeping their eyes on the road, where I'm sure the teenagers' eyes are.

If it bothers you that much, moved to NY or NJ where it is illegal.

I don't necessarily feel like doing that but I do get rather annoyed when they can't talk and drive at the same time and do stupid stuff like go very slow, change lanes with no signal etc. I just try to pass people on phones as fast as I can. I am a teen but I can't talk and drive because I have a manual and I refuse to get any blue tooth or wireless device because I think people look stupid with a light blinking in their ear. Those people are egotistical and just want attention.

Oh please don't yank me out of the car and make me eat my cell phone!!! I am not a teen if that helps you any at all!!!

But.....I am the worst in the world for talking while I'm driving! It is the only time I have to return business calls! and if it makes you feel better I don't take messages while I'm driving I tell them to call my phone back and I won't answer and they can leave any info. that I would need to write down on my voice mail! this is really good for phone numbers and addresses

Honestly, I wish it was legal to hit them with my car just to wake them up and make them pay attn. It is illegal to chat on the phone while driving here in NY,. but people still do it. Nextel also makes it easy to do it because of the walkie talkie. I am personally guilty of doing this.... but I am aware of my driving and not doing the walkie talkie while doing so.

I think if we were all allowed to shake those cell phone abusers somewhat, or even raising and enforcing fines for doing so it could come to an stop.

No I don't tend to get that upset about it...lol. Sometimes it can be frustrating to see an individual not driving properly because of their cell phones, but I know people who multitask well and can drive and talk on the phone at the same time.

Not only that but, why truckers are doing it is beyond me. The CB's not obsoulete yet, is it?

3 weeks ago there was a trucker from "Allens Inc" who was doing just that and failed to see the light turn red and ran straight over the blue MG in front of him who was already stopped. It killed MG driver...

Plus, I have truckers come through the "outbound" all the time on the flippin' phone so while I'm trying to get their paper work through, they keep sayin' "Huh?" every time I ask a question..

I'm not just cutting down "truckers" but, this is what I deal with mostly at work...

It annoys me when I see it and they are driving irresponsibly. Personally, I don't think it should be allowed or at least there should be some limitations placed on it...hand free...etc. Maybe even an age limit where at least you feel the driver is at an age to have some road experience.

its annoying when they pull out in front of you when they're on the phone!

once we saw this semi-accident where a car had crashed into the back of the truck (probably because of cell phone) and then later on the highway we see same car with squished front and driver ON THE CELL PHONE! stupid i think
