Do you think Spirit and Soul are the same thing?

I like the idea that the body is the physical and the soul is non-physical and the spirit is the connection between the two. Just to me a neat idea.

I was reading something the other day. I do believe that ''soul'' or the ''spirit'' is something that we have in our body, that no one ccan destroy. For example, the body dies...and gets decomposed...for example the brain works, the heart works, so what is the ''ELEMENT'' that makes all of this work.. ??? what is it that makes our heart beat, or our braiin function..there has to be some ''force'' that makes all of this tick away....so..there is an ''energy'' called the ''soul'' or the ''spirit'' which ...is defintely something that makes us tick..or our heart beat..or the brain function....yes....spirit and soul are the same t hing ''vocabularily''..but ..yes, there has to be an element called soul..that makes us..really tick...

oboy...the eternal question. Some people don´t know how there can be a soul when the brain seems to be the center of our consciousness.
However, as a human being of flesh and blood, it´s impossible to understand the soul. I like the example with the panting; imagine you are the smallest little spot of oil on the painting. When so, it is absolutely impossible for you to see the whole pattern. So, thinking of the soul being separated from the body will be impossible to get the answer to.
I mean...the soul can be the eye watching the painting; separated from the spot but still a "part" of it all...(sigh! Do you get the point...?)
Believe or don´t believe. in the end you may be able to see the whole picture; perhaps and (probably?) when you die.

What I've come to understand is that the soul is what attaches to the body during incarnation and spirit is what stays at home if you will. So actually the soul is what connects body to spirit.

There is much confusion about spirit and soul in relation to body and mind and personality. Some Eastern religions reverse spirit and soul concepts.

God's pure spirit "fragment" (volition, will of God) indwells all normal humans here at about age 5-6 and on. Even human personality (volition, will) is made by God to be directive over God's prepersonal spirit will within. This makes worship and doing God's will optional. (I am; and I am to Be in I AM, or to be not.(extinguished, no "hell".)

When a human (mostly unknowingly, super-consciously) chooses to do God's will, then the pure spirit Gift Monitor/Adjuster within your mind creates the human's supreme decision as this duplicate you - soul. Soul is just like you, except there is not yet a higher soul form-super-body. You here as soul, use your lower level body/brain tool.

Human personality is absolutely Unique in both time and in Eternity, and personality unifies all components of you as one.
There are no "multiple personalities" and no "split personalities" - just sick souls and minds and body/brains)

This may help. Draw an ellipse on a sheet of paper on an old table ( using 2 nails and a big hammer ! wham ! wham ! and a string and pencil, or an ellipse pattern or freehand.)
Make the ellipse about 7" tall and 6" wide. (The ideal perfect form of Paradise) The 2 nails inside that helped generate this ellipse are F1 on top and F2 on the bottom. F1 is God's prepersonal spirit will within you; F2 is your personality will (dominant if you so will, or subordinate to F1 if you so will.)
Both the F1 nail and the F2 nail never move in this first mortal life. Maybe the nails are closer or farther apart up on the next higher Heaven to make soul you more fat or skinny.
The string gets much larger also. (bigger domain of operation up there)

Help ! Will all of these growing bigger soul ellipses get crowded? Fear not ! as the Paradise ellipse is infinite and in seven cosmic-spiritual-universal dimensions.

Yes, your personality and mind are also repersonalized in the next Heaven in asacending soul you.

In any arguement, you have to define your terms. The soul is the immortal you, the body is the physical finite part, and you have defined the spirt as the connection. Perfect. Do not let anyone argue against that. You have defined you terms, and if people want to discuss the idea, they have to agree to what you have defined. I like what you have defined.
