Do you wait for people to make the first move or do you take upon yourself to make the first move instead?

If I waited for other people to make the first move I'd sometimes be waiting forever because some people just aren't motivated. If something's important to me, I get on and do it. I've also found that people are full of good intentions and make many promises but they don't always carry them out. So if something has to be done, it's easier and faster and more likely to get done if I do it myself.

I make the first move when it comes to things I know something about and to the point where I am able to contribute the most to the success of a certain project whether that is personal or business . There are certain things I would definitely let others make the first move on and would not question their authority or knowledge and would stay in the background. Then there are those type of relationships that I will play it by ear and let nature and the moment takes its course and deal with spontaneity.
