I'm not a fan of confrontations at all. They tend to come across as a hostile approach. I believe that people have the ability to have open discussions about issues and share information and ideas but to begin by confronting seems to put everyone on point. Accusations don't receive the desired results.

confrontation is both positive and negative. Positive by what you can learn and achieve out of it. The negative is the risks.

As long as the positive outweigh the negative, then it's worth confronting. Most often we get sucked into trying to WIN at all cost and we forgot about the cost.

It depends on what your confronting a person about. Right now I'm dealing with a problem with my dad but if I confront him about it he might not speak to me again but it's something I think he should know but it's difficult to tell because were both living under the same roof. I plan on telling him one day but after I move.

The idea of confrontation as clashing of forces or ideas and results in conflict, I just do not like that, BUT if confrontation is to" bring into a meaningful place" then that is to me positive. I am against combative, confrontational people. They remind me of spoiled mistreated children, tho I understand them I just don't like them. Enough said.

If it's something that needs confronting, ie. a relationship issue, then yes, it should be brought up and talked about. If it's just about blowing off some steam, ie. when another driver cuts you off, then no, confrontation probably isn't such a good idea.
