And force them to go from salary to an hourly paid employee, without an increase of pay?

Before starting my own biz I used managed several shops. They would always offer me a salary package and I would break it down into an hourly rate and tell them to give me that because YES!... They always increase your hours and Lord have mercy if you take a few days off.

You asked this 15 minutes ago without the number of hours. The amount the work hours increased doesn't change the answer. Yes unless you have a contract. Get another job. Just like I told you before.

Yes. If your pay didn't decrease you will make more money unless you were lucky enough to work for a company that paid salaried employees overtime. I really can't see why they would do that unless you were taking advantage of being salaried by missing a lot of work and getting paid for it.

Yes he can change it, but if the positon is non-exempt from The Fair Labor and Standards Act then he has to pay you time and a half for all hours worked over 40 hours a week. Of course, that is if you work in the U.S.
