I broke up with my love of three years. We separted last years because I moved to other states. Recently, he realized that we will not able to be together so he wanted to move on.
I respected his decision; therefore, we decided to set each others free---no contact and no friendship until we both can move on with our life. We both are moving on. Although I always think of him and the wonderful memory we have shared. Last year while we separated he used to tell me that he thinks of me night and day. I am just wondering whether he is still thinking of me sometimes.
I do not want him back, I just want to know if he still think or care about me.

In my opinion you two have been seperated for a year and parted on terms where there was respect for each other on both sides which shows you both had a love for one another. You set each other free to move on which does not erase the times you shared, the feelings you felt, or any wonderful memories you have or he has. I am sure at times he still thinks of you as you are him. You probaly always will have memories or daily thoughts though it may not be as frequent as you go on with your daily life and move onto new relationships. It seems once you both have moved on that you plan on having contact even if it just to see how the other one is doing and hoping and praying for each other's happiness until then.

Yes, he still thinks about you...it's good that you 2 left on good terms N not a bad one like most couples do!!
After leaving a relationship for 3 yrs...both of you guys are gonna think about one another N while you 2 are dating as well...i dont care what anyone says...you would be out on a date N he had done/did something that you ex had did...wheather it was good or bad, It's just something you remembered N that you missed as well
Sometimes people would go out or date someone that's similar to their ex's be/c it gives them that closure that was missed by them...which is not always a good thing by doing this, but it has happened.
But yes...he still thinks about you!!!!
Keep in contact...you never know what lies in the future for ya!!!

If you had the bond it sounds liek you both did, it honestly sounds like he might. You guys cared enough about eachother to civially end things in a way that was healthy and good for the both of you. You both sound respectful. So yes, he very well could be. But that is off of what YOU have said. Its been awhile and everyone moves on in their own pace. My first BF was in eighth grade, I am now 20 years old have a daughter and have been happily married for nearly 3 years together for 4... do I think of my first BF yea... I think about my "bf" from kindergarden, just remebering those days, not missing but remembering. You were in his life, as he was in yours so chances are yea he probably does but I wouldn't be able to tell you if its the yway you think of him.

I bet he still thinks of you. Three years is a long time. The fact that you two were able to amicably seperate shows a great deal of love and respect for each other. I bet you hear from him again someday.

Unless he is a complete fool, he does think about you often. Perhaps not all the time as before, but I am sure that when he hears a certain song, goes to a place you went, catches a whiff of the same perfume you wore, he will think of you and miss you a lot and wish that he could have it all again.

It is so hard to say. We all want to believe that we are the great love of someone's life -- that we are the "one who got away". It's almost selfish of us to feel that way, yet most of us do. I'm sure that he does still think of you. You two were very important to each other and it's hard to forget someone important. Rest assured that he misses you as much as you miss him and probably doesn't want you back, because you say you don't want him back. Just pretend that his feelings match yours.

No matter what he will always think about you....even if he has a new girlfriend or hell if he gets married!! He will always find himself comparing other girls to you...thats just how it goes....but honestly I dont think he will ever not think about you....later in life he may not think of you as much but you will always run through his head at times.
