I sure do remember him. He was the host on the original Mickey Mouse Club, as was Roy Williams, the portly gentleman. Both Jimmy Dodd & Roy Williams are deceased. I can recall watching an interview featuring Annette Funicello some years ago. She talked about having to wear a "chest binder" on the show, because she was very well developed for her age.

*Shari...the dancer was Bobby Burgess who went on to dance on the Lawrence Welk Show. Dennis Day appeared on the MM show, so perhaps that's the Irishman you referred to?

*cwstufff....Did you not have a clue that you were in the Seniors group before answering the question? The Seniors does not mean "Seniors in high school."

Dodd was the heart and soul of the Mickey Mouse Club TV series.

First I was thinking he was the oldest Mousketeer on the
Original Mickey Mouse Club who did alot of tap dancing. And
went on to dance on Lawrence Welks' TV show. But now I
believe he was an MC or moderator on the show introducing
segments? I remember the name and the face of an older
Irishman. I never knew where he came from, or what he'd
done to get on the show. Maybe someone else knows?

Jimmy was a foot taller than everyone else and often looked sorta like a stumble bum but everyone loved him. The Mickey Mouse Club was one of the few things I was allowed to watch. Forever let us hold our banner high!!
